Four Days of Entertainment and Activities will take place Along the Riverfront with Todd Tilghman, winner of Season 18 of The Voice Hosting the Main Event

But when you are recognized at the official Hollywood Independent Music Awards, the premier global platform for independent music, you have been recognized for your outstanding contributions and creation around the world.

This year, Owensboro, KY has been chosen to partner with the Hollywood Independent Music Awards (HIMA)’s and will hold the “Everything Blue” HIMA awards at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum on Aug 12, 2023. Owensboro’s local nominees and regional nominees reached over 20 in various categories, proving that the Midwest has what it takes in the music industry.

Nominees joining the multiple events slated for this outstanding week include artists from genres recognized in Bluegrass, Gospel/Christian, Country, Blues, Message Song, Male and Female vocalists to name a few and Todd Tilghman, winner of season 18 of The Voice will host the awards show, with several amazing names taking the stage to represent the excitement. The HIMAs will also honor former city commissioner Larry Maglinger for his contribution to the entertainment business.

The artists along with their family and friends will enjoy a red carpet Meet & Greet event on August 10 at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum and live performances and recognition at Friday After 5 on August 11th. The official award show will take place at the Bluegrass Music Hall of fame and Museum on Aug 12th with red carpet arrivals and a VIP Celebration reception. There will also be a free jam concert featuring nominees, local musicians and artists from Bootlegger coming in from Los Angeles on August 13 at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum outdoor stage.
