Cobb’s First Responder 5k Run/Walk To Be Held August 5th

ATLANTA, GA, June 24, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ — The Cobb County Public Safety Foundation (CCPSF), is gearing up to host their 2nd annual First Responder 5k Run/Walk at The Battery on August 5, 2023. Thanks to a generous donation from Clear Channel Outdoor, the CCPSF received 4 digital billboards over the span of two months to promote their 5k run. The billboards cover high traffic areas in Cobb County and encourage community involvement supporting Cobb’s first responders with the theme “Run to help those, who Run to help you.”

In addition to being a Peachtree qualifier, the family-fun 5k will include fire truck and police vehicle displays, live performances from the Braves Heavy Hitter Band, family games on the lawn, and a visit from the Atlanta Braves Blooper.

“We are grateful to Clear Channel for supporting our local first responder heroes,” said Lance LoRusso, CEO and Founder of CCSPF. The foundation also announced this year’s co-chairs Sean Ferrell, CFO of LGE Community Credit Union, and Barbie Brown with Coastal Consulting and Recruiting Services. The CCPSF contributes the success of the foundation to their incredible volunteers and board members that enable them to serve over 3,000 men and women in Cobb County.

The First Responder 5k Run/Walk will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 8:00am at The Battery, 800 Battery Ave SE, Atlanta. To inquire about sponsorship opportunities, or to register for the race, please visit www.CCPSF.org.
