New partnership brings TrafficLand real-time roadway video to Harman’s connected car Ignite Platform

FAIRFAX, VA, January 03, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ — TrafficLand, the largest V2I aggregator of live traffic video, announced today an agreement to provide live video from its network of roadway traffic cameras to the Harman Aha Radio TrafficLand traveler information app.

The new TrafficLand app for connected cars with Harman’s Aha Radio platform will be demonstrated this month at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The new mobile application will be demonstrated during CES on a 2018 Jeep Cherokee that will display live, updating roadway images along routes between Las Vegas and several popular area destinations, including the Hoover Dam and Red Rock Canyon.

The Aha Radio mobile app is currently integrated into more that 50 car models of 14 leading automakers including Acura, Chrysler, Ford, Honda, Mazda, Porsche, Scion, Subaru and Toyota.

“Adding TrafficLand roadway video to our Aha Radio TrafficLand is one of the best vehicle to infrastructure demonstrations we have seen,” said Steve Surhigh, VP and GM of Cloud Services for Harman International. “Real-time, updating roadway video is very visual and easy to understand, which makes it very informative and useful for our end users.”

“We are excited to bring the benefits of live video verification to drivers using the Aha Radio platform,” said Lawrence Nelson, CEO of TrafficLand. “This content can dramatically increase driver awareness about traffic and weather conditions on the roadways ahead, and that can make all the difference in the world when it comes to driver safety.”
