Pledges To Support Passage of School Choice Nationally When In The Senate

LAS VEGAS, NV, May 02, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ — Today, Ronda Kennedy, United States Republican Senatorial candidate called for passage of Governor Joe Lombardo’s Assembly Bill 400 that will provide more options for families to take their children out of public schools and send them to private or charter schools. Education is not a one size fits all endeavor and every parent knows what is best for their child said Kennedy. She said this viewpoint contrasts with that of Joe Biden who claimed this week that children are everyone’s children. Kennedy said with Democrats having such a mindset, not only does school choice need to be expanded at the state level, but it needs to be implemented nationally and that will be one of the first pieces of legislation, she proposes in Congress.

“Assembly Bill 400 is just common sense,” said Ronda Kennedy. “Parents know what is best for their children and this bill will allow them to seek and provide the best education possible for their children. School choice is supported by parents on both sides of the aisle because it isn’t a political issue. It is about putting children first and that transcends partisan politics for parents.

“Parents not teachers union or Joe Biden or national Democrats are the ones who need to decide education for their children,” concluded Kennedy. “In the Senate I will propose legislation to offer school choice opportunities nationally so every child has the opportunity to an education that will empower and educate them.”
