24 kiosks in program aim to expand access to behavioral health and substance abuse assessments for courts, employers, and schools
DES MOINES, IA, February 02, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ — New Directions Substance and Behavioral Services (NDSBS), a leading provider of court-ordered assessments for substance use, anger management, and other behavioral health issues, is extending its services through an innovative kiosk system. Prospective clients can register, pay, and complete assessments at these new kiosk locations in Los Angeles, California and Austin, Texas. NDSBS will also be expanding its online offerings.
Established in 2010, NDSBS has provided thousands of court-ordered assessments online to individuals facing DUIs, workplace violations, and other charges. Their evaluations for DUI, driver’s license reinstatement, and other behavioral issues have been accepted in more than 750 counties and by DMVs, courts, and probation offices in 48 states.
“We saw a real opportunity for helping people facing DUI and other legal charges (involving substance use), giving them a clear pathway to quickly show the court they are using the experience to personally reflect on their circumstances. And when appropriate, to make meaningful changes in their lives”, says Brian Davis, Founder of New Directions. “Many states have a shortage of qualified evaluators with time available, making it a real struggle to get a timely assessment for court. This online meeting approach makes it much easier for individuals to arrive in court proactively and professionally prepared to move forward.”
Starting the process is as simple as creating an account online at https://www.ndsbs.com/, or by visiting one of our new in-store kiosks. Then clients can access NDSBS evaluators via online video calls. Kiosks are now available at 15 locations in Los Angeles and nine locations in Austin. Visit https://www.ndsbs.com/ to learn more.
